Gong Sound Bath Stoke Newington

  • Soma Studio 231 Stoke Newington Church Street London, England, N16 9HP United Kingdom (map)

Sound Healing has been used in many cultures throughout history to restore the mind, body and spirit to a state of balance, promoting healing and wellbeing. The gong is known for it's unique harmonic vibrations; these frequencies wash over the body and can be felt deeply. The vibrations help shift and release energy blockages in the body and stimulate healing on a cellular level. The sounds activate the parasympathetic nervous system: the bodies’ rest and restore response and the frequencies from the instruments slow the brainwaves, inducing a dreamlike state enabling us to take an inner journey where our sense of time dissipates and we are able to drift off where the sounds take us. As with most forms of healing, we can sometimes experience an emotional release as the body surrenders and lets go.

In this session you will be bathed in therapeutic sounds from the Earth Gong, Alchemy crystal singing bowls, harmonic chimes and various percussive instruments. We'll begin with a short Nidra style guided relaxation to prepare the body to receive the vibrations of the Gong and Crystal Singing bowls. There's nothing for you to do in this space, this is an opportunity to simply rest and receive. Spaces are limited at these events.
